Allergy substitutions

Cream – I make this recipe for cashew cream every week, for my coffee.

Milk (casein allergy) – I make this recipe for oat milk every week, and use a little less than the 1 litre of water; I like it a little creamier and less watery.

Tomatoes (nightshade allergy) – use a chunky mashed sweet potato with some tamarind puree (1 tsp/5ml for a small sweet potato, 1tbsp/20ml for two or three sweet potatoes) The sweetness in the sweet potato and the tartness of the tamarind puree give you an approximation of crushed tomatoes, depending on how chunky you left the mash.
